8/10/10 - Washington, DC - Graphic Illusions Comics President Jose Loeri announced today that the release date of Shonen Double Feature, the company's second offering in its Second Wave Universe titles, is tentative until further notice.

"We're in the final stage of the production grind,” Loeri explained, "but time and unforeseen occurrences are hampering our efforts a bit. All the same, we offer our apologies, but not excuses. This year has been a busy and productive one for our production staff. We have, and will continue to do our level best to hit our scheduling marks for the remainder of the year. Please keep an eye on our website for updates on Shonen Double Feature’s release."

GRAPHIC ILLUSIONS COMICS SEES DOUBLE IN JULY

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE

7/9/10- Washington, DC, July 8, 2010- Graphic Illusions Comics proudly announces the beginning of Double Feature Month. After months of preparations and build up G.I. Comics will count down to the release of its latest Second Wave Universe offering, Shonen Double Feature (SDF), with a series of weekly web updates spotlighting the books creative staff, character bios, and previews of coming attractions.

“This book has been a while in the making,” says series co-writer Jose Loeri, “So we’re going to bring it out in grand fashion. We’ll give you the lowdown on everything that we think makes SDF a great read. I’m talking about the evolutions of the book as a concept, the characters, their relationships to
each other, and the connection that the stories have to each other. We really want readers to be invested in this title since you’ll be getting a lot of bang for your buck.”

Readers will have an additional reason to keep up to date with information released on the website. “I’m not saying ‘there’ll be a quiz at the end’,” Loeri explained, “But we will be looking for feedback from our readers. SDF is a huge undertaking and we will utilize the site to get impressions from our fan base. Part of the payoff for reader’s emotional investment in SDF is the fact that, in many ways, this is their book. We are going to let the reader know what our marks are, and in turn, we want our readers to let us know if we’ve hit them. In that sense you can say issue #1 is something of a “try out” book. Feedback and sales will then dictate SDF’s fate.”

Updates leading to Shonen Double Feature's release will be posted on Graphic Illusions Comics’ website with supplemental information posted on the Crucial Crisis Comix website.

A 'Variety' of Reviews for Immortal Kiss.
Dion Floyd's latest issue of Immortal Kiss has already started to sell like hotcakes through our growing list of retailers and as we roll out this current installment of the series reviews have come in from HollywoodJesus.com as well as Hollywood's own Variety.com – the industry's source for hot entertainment news and reviews! Now Variety's review was a little lower than we expected it to be (this being our 2nd book in the series and all), but we know full well that it's much easier to critique a book or series than it is to write, draw, color or edit one. ; )
